Iced said, April 17, 2013, 02:06:04 amimo porunga would fit more if he was making an alt to this stageThe portrayed scene seems to be after porunga has died and Namek is completely breaking down.Polunga comes back quickly when everyone is revived and Dende wishes everyone to Earth, I think the planet is already breaking down at that point, though there's no lava yet at that point. Yeah, probably wouldn't work...
Iced said, April 17, 2013, 02:06:04 amI suggest getting a look at this:HOLY! thats almost like namek itself blowing up!I think i like the floor of that stage better, and those background rocks can be usefull too...
Good choice of stage man. İ would add Ginyu's space ship in the bg since Goku used it. Elements like Dragonballs turned into stone would do too. They are just circle grey balls wich could be great. Elements like those could be used as a reference for some of the episodes.

Anyways I think that like Neocide said you should add broken houses.
After studing Ruins of kagami stage ive decided not to use that floor, ill be using the same one of the fakeshot but with some modifications. The left side of the stage will be near the sea, with some waves hitting the floor and stuff, the rigth side of the stage will have the lava effects, with trembling floor, high pressure gases coming out of the floor, and some lava river at the background.Destroyed namek houses could be nice, and i want to put some fire effects somewhere. It may be possible that stage goes wilder progresively, with more thunders and visual effects as the time passes.
if it was feasible a possible effect would be the horizon starting to break apart, with mountains jutting out and moving up and down. You could have a whole mountain slowly rise, break apart and then collapse as lava spings out or something.
Ok, thats an actual screenshot of the real progress, implemented thunders, basic earthquakes (needs specific zone shakes) hurricanes, and lava splurts and flows.Hard to capture all anims on a screenshot since thunders are fastI like Iced idea of terrain going up, ill see how i can make it work, i plan on adding explosions at the far far distance and some more props.I actually want to put some ocean at the distance with some wild tydes hitting the left part of the stage

This looks very nice. For lava animation, I recall there's a stage made by Ryon which had a lot of lave (maybe a sea of lava) and a lava boss in it. You may want to ask him.

Maybe you could achieve a similar effect to that of the Adrift Ruins stage found here to show the planet breaking apark as you move side to side.

Just pause then tap scroll lock till you get a good shot. Also useful for checking for holes in stages when superjumping. If you don't have a scroll lock button, you can do it in 1.0 in training mode. Pause first then push CTRL+pause to advance the frames. Wow very usefull info! thanks! And those stages looks amazing, but for the moment i wont use sprites from those just ideas or inspiration
Excellent work there man. Some flames could be added in front aswell. Here is an example from the Red Earth Game. This could give you some ideas really. You could make it so that the ground burns a little aswell just like the screenshot.
