This is just sad. Really.

You would think the state of Georgia would take the chance to have another trial. There are so many questions unanswered, so much doubt, so much confusion. This state could have taken the time to understand and question the witnesses on why they change their testimonies, why Cole has the same type of weapon that killed the police officer...
Why the state of Georgia did not have a single piece of evidence that linked Davis to the murder.

Did Georgia not notice any of these details? Did they not notice that other politicians in Washington were telling them to hold off on the case? For Christ's Sake, you even got former president Jimmy Carter saying that you need to hold off until you have SOMETHING!

From cheating teachers to now killing possibly innocent people... Your officially the worst state in America Georgia.
And society continues to degenerate.
Couldn't agree more.

EDIT:
Heres a link containing the details of his death.

This is retarded. Why do you kill a man when there's no evidence that supports him being a murderer and basically just take the word of his "friend" who probably did it himself? I swear, America is fucking stupid.

I hope they find evidence on Cole and finally get the real guy. I already hated you in SFxT.

Boy 'Merica is the best darn nation on Earth. Now you best be watching your mouth about what you say about 'Merica.

Man that's awful. :-\

Getting the real guy would be nice but it might taste bitter considering the innocent one died. :(

America is a great country, but without the ideals of liberty and justice for all it is nothing but hypocrisy.  And that's what's happening here.

Dont know about you guys but this happens all the time. The wrongly convicted and innocent having to pay the price of someone else. Its been happening and its still happening.

However

Why have 7 of the 9 prosecution witnesses changed all or part of their trial testimony? Why are these witnesses claiming that they felt pressured by the police to file false testimonies against the man? Where is the supposed .38 caliber pistol that Davis had? Why is Cole in possession of a .38 caliber pistol?

sticks out like a sore thumb.

I can think of 2 things:

1) They didn't want to look like dumbasses and be like "Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Davis, let me let you go.."
2) If they did let him go, with all the witnesses changing their story and lack of evidence, He can sue for a killing!

And that kinda makes me want to burn my uniform.

Funny thing is the guy Troy Davis is from my hometown.  My parents knew him when they were kids, as well as every other old person who grew up in Savannah, GA.  Yesterday my family and I went downtown to show our support.  It looked more like a battle of races than the objection or support of someone's death by capital law.  Whites were talking shits to blacks and blacks were talking shit back.  I left, fast.  Funny how events like this can spark these types of reactions and emotions from within people.

And that kinda makes me want to burn my uniform.
Not me, I serve to protect the people I love.  Not America's shitty judicial system.
