I fail to see how it's "just filtering"Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's much more of a contribution than making just palettes IMO

But those changes can both be done in seconds, using the appropriate tools (although, it is possible he did them all by hand; and hmm, this is starting to get all philosophical, if you do that work by hand does that make you more deserving of the contributor status compared to someone who automated it? I have no fucking idea)But anyway, even if it was all done by hand I would still say no. I just don't think it's enough.
imo filtering the sprites takes more effort than just changing the colors. That's not to say some palettes dont take effort, but if palettes can get you contrib, i dont see why filtering cant?Markpachi said, January 14, 2014, 12:03:26 pm7th, for making this SP.+1He also did this
To note you must make quite a number of good palettes to gain contributor. Just like portraits. If the user makes one or two more filtered edits then he'll be more apt to get it.

Here's a question - if someone pays for a commission (say for sprites), are they a contributor since the technically contributed the money to get the sprites made for the community (since pretty much any coder can then use the sprites)?Or would that put them in a different category (like that black star donator thing you see every now and then)?
I wouldn't think it would count because the sprites getting made for the community isn't always the case. I would think a contribution would be something the user has worked on and is releasing it for the community. Paying for sprites isn't necessarily contributing your work to the community. It wouldn't put them in any current category IMO.
