Dan. I have a very good amount of reasons.

1) This is the first time Dan has been competitively legitimate and completely usable within play without joking around(to a degree)
2) Interesting metagame that is offense heavy and relies on throws and good reads.
3) Plenty of buffs in Ultra/SSF4 AE that make him even stronger.
4) Interesting links and combos, especially with Ultra Street Fighter 4 in mind, with Close HK becoming Back+HK as a command normal(doubling as an anti-air and a link starter.
5) Interesting character that does not have very many accurate MUGEN conversions that feel quite as awesome as he does in SF4.
6) It's Dan.

Figured I'd drop this in here. You can probably replicate the Ultra changes with a changelog since they're mainly move property related(although they extended the vertical hitbox on LK Dankukyaku for Ultra.)

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

i was thinking about hakan but since it's impossible.. then maybe el fuerte? it's probably only possible chance to make him playable exclusively in mugen..

other than that oni or perhaps remake of your gouken? im thinking about all these characters that arent outside of sfiv series so abel and c.viper is another good choice.

I'll be honest, I was quite sold on what you said. So Dan will be the character... following this next one. Reason being, Ultra will probably be the best version of him, and Ultra drops in 4 - 5 months which is around the time frame I should finish the next character. Plus there seems to be good enough interest in Dan.

For now it seems as if people want a newcomer , so I'll probably go that route. I'll list my willingness to do each one.

El Fuerte
Don't have much interest in him. His playstyle does not appeal to me. If I ever do end up making him, it'll probably be funny when everyone points out his RSF loop.

C. Viper
She is interesting to me, but I will not choose her next because her execution is too high for me to accurately interpret her gamestyle. There is a high chance I could make doing this either too easy or too hard. Not comfortable enough to start her.

Abel
I wouldn't mind doing this character as his gameplay is unique and not too difficult to emulate.

Seth
Unless convinced otherwise, this is probably the direction I'm heading, basically because I tried to build off Werewood's Seth, but stopped due to lack of sprites. Now that I can rip sprites with good axes, he would probably be the most interesting choice.

So probably either Abel or Seth. But most likely Seth.

wow, just forgot to mention seth (maybe because ive never played him), but hes indeed interestin, and VERY technical character.. saw few tournament matches, and it's amazing what it's possible to do with him, in right hands. got excited enough, to launch now sfivae and start preparing for your mugen seth lol (if you choose him of course).

As a Seth player, I'm pretty excited to hear you're considering/moving towards the direction of working on him. I also tried to fix Werewood's Seth, but found it quite difficult. Which SF4 version will he be based on? You're also able to rip without the camera angles too? Was wondering if you'll be able to rip moves like his pile driver.
