This Punisher has the ruthless aggression aspect to a capital T. Grenade of the ground into a pistol into a machine gun...dang. And that van super...holy chizz.
So many safe moves with very little start up and recovery or leave you in hit/blockstun long enough for him to keep going without worry about being punished.It's made worse by the absurd amount of chip damage his moves do.His grab is so poorly coded. Quite a lot of range for one, can grab opponents in the air and the spot he puts his opponents in is not even correct. He can combo from it INTO it.Gains super meter fairly quick.So many unecessary supers. His assault rifle super is "fine". The motorcycle one has so much startup that it's going to get blocked easily and Punisher takes his sweet time coming back on screen after it's done. Napalm super is the type I hate to see, it's one thing to make him leave while he attacks, it's another to make it so he can't be punished when he comes back if the opponent blocked it or avoided it. The Van super is completely worthless unless his opponent is a big/fat character since all he's got to do is back away to avoid it and even then the way it was made is so awful. Such a huge hitbox and unblockable too. Honestly, this one should have taken a cue from Seanaltly's Roshchar and turned it into a grab super that led to the van cutscene.Not even sure I covered everything. Feels like there was barely any focus on proper gameplay here.
Just watched the video, Flare, but... did I see Punisher having no invul when dashing or was that his supposed evade?
Oh right, thanks for reminding me.Dash seems to be completely invincible.Lack of damage dampener, so he will do a ton if damage in anything resembling a combo.
Darkflare - I know you got a reputation for being overly critical but dude atleast read the movelist or open the characterFor the hitbox so you hate this too ? Ofcourse it supposed to be large.....it's a vanYou want me to put a small hitbox on a van and can be hit while doing a fps hyper ?I even put the weakness of the AI in the freaking movelist.....*AI WEAKNESS*WHEN YOU BLOCK HIS RUSHES OR NORMAL PUNCHES HE DOES A LITTLE FORWARD ROLL LEAVING HIMSELF OPEN FOR AN ATTACKHe is also supposed to evade on his dashes. On the motorcylce I thinks it's common sense that you need to knock him in the air for it to work....It is a grab superYou can actually use the commands to hit the enemy on my version. You don't even know it is a grab super....... and call it terrible codingYou just judge it for a huge clsn on a van and criticize it for being able to dodge it which was also intended cause of the huge hitbox....I respect you and seen you countless times on the guild with constructive criticism but atleast when criticizing someone have some senseOtherwise your just criticizing for the sake of it

There's a particular string he does that if you block it causes him to stand around doing nothing until you attack him, allowing me to freely build meter by powercharge/whiffing normals/whiffing specials and then just hit him with strongest super when time is about to run outQuoteHe is also supposed to evade on his dashes. Darkflare- I'll tweak the dampenerThat was my fault I checked and didn't put a guardflag on it cause I copied the grab hitdef of my character and tweaked and overlooked it.On the AI I saw a ifelse(random . that has the value of 120 instead of 1011. So he just guards then stays on a state until you hit him.On the fps hyper maybe I should add a varadd when the movehits and if the var is 0 He does what jin doesSorry bout that. I could've fixed it and yet I was reactiveI'll fix it
There's a few other things I also mentioned that I think you should be looking at(Like the safe moves and chip damage)

If he can be hit all the time while dashing the move becomes uselesson the chip damage I'll reduce it
Dashing has always been an approach option that had risk. It shouldn't be invincible at all. Take a look at the various games with dashing/running and note how they all them vulnerable when doing so.If you want an evade, that should be it's own thing that functions more like dodge rolls being vulnerable at the beginning and end of the roll and always vulnerable to a throw.

I like the work you've done so far, Rahlonnir.Punisher was one of my favorite Marvel characters when I was a teenager. I even have a buckle on my belt that I still wear Only thing I noticed somewhat 'stiff' are his moves from waist upwards. Is like legs do have a movement, but his torso is weird on some animations.Apart from that, the rest is excellent. I really like it Great work and thanks for sharing it!
Arkillo1985 - On the sprite department tried it and just can't get the hang of it. So I just use and credit sprites from existing charactersPunisher has always been fucking badass and after the netflix version I liked him more which is weird because I don't really like his ideals.EDIT: Wrong version uploaded please re download again for the latest update
Yeah, I know how it works. It's not easy to create a character that Capcom or Marvel never created for any actual game (except the beat 'em up from the 90s that is, but it doesn't apply to this particular case).It's really an excellent work and I like what you've done. I'll redownload it and add it to my Marvel roster.I really wish DC would get the same treatment since most of the characters created are either too inaccurate or really incomplete. Just a bunch of them are really good. But well... I can't say much of it. Many out there (such as you), come out with their works. I only try them out and do nothing useful for anyone. Maybe someday I'll train myself on this and will do something for everyone to enjoy.Again: thanks for the great job done and keep it up
