VIDEO Vah Rudania action, and a Zora region stage Looks like the boomerang weapon replaces the charged spin attack with a boomerang throw. Now to see if other weapons have similar unique perks. editVIDEO The blights attacking the divine beasts, awakened Zelda with the Triforce and the Bow of Light , aaaaand teasing the ocarina of Time. Not the song of Time, just Zelda's Lullaby, but at least it suggests the ocarina has remained in the royal family's possession since OoT - that' what I'm expecting instead of an actual OoT crossover anyway, and it's probably how they'll explain whatever they do with time travel. Edit again Got the game, played Mipha (and Vah Ruta). Strong attack creates a small geyser at a distance, personal action has her dive and reappear leaping out of the distant geyser, perform an air combo from there. Her water attacks will heal allies, even her special. The special doesn't seem to hit, but it does deal damage to enemies... I think ? When you upgrade weapons, passing certain levels on the weapon gives you a new skill slot for that weapon to take from a weapon you fuse into it, so plan out your fusions. Uh-oh. "Challenges : the influence of the Guardian from the future has caused a strange world that transcends time and space to appear !" So is that an excuse for bonus crossover challenges ? Or story-related ?
Well, the lullaby was the guardian singing, not the ocarina. Why even tease it in a trailer like that. Edit againSpoiler: story (click to see content)
I'm only partway through, but... Nintendo tried to market this to Zelda players, trying to tell them it's not the brainless button masher that you think Musou games are, come in for the story because it's canon and it's the actual events that lead into Breath of the Wild Big surprise : it's not the events that lead into BotW. It's a time travel story with the future champions coming to the past to change the timeline. It takes a hard left from the BotW memory scenes (and it doesn't even bother to show the scenes that still happen, completely ignores what BotW showed and that's it). There's gonna be backlash and angry people... I love this game and the first one, but frankly, if you're here for the BotW prequel and not really into Musou games : don't fucking bother. Like they didn't bother. This is not for you. Nintendo lied. Btw the real gerudo champion is not Riju. It's Patricia. For those who wanted to play a mini rampaging Molduga with a tiny lady riding behind.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.
