This was been on my mind for years, ever since I did my first edit in the form of Nightmare Geese over PotS' Geese.
My plan is to edit PotS' original Pre-2022 Geese to be separated into 4 (originally 3) modes.
The issue is actually making up the movesets.
Here they are as of now:

Normal:

Pretty much Classic Geese. Uses his CvS2 moveset and is meant be based on his FF appearances.

Specials:
(Double) Reppuken
Shippuken - EX is Double Shippuken
Jaeiken
Atemi Nage
Raimei Gouha Nage

Level 1/2 Supers:
Raising Storm - MAX is inverted so it's coloured Red ala 98UM
Rashoumon - Done with 360,k

Level 3s:
Deadly Rave
Thunder Break - 2K2UM variant

EX:

Based off his KOF appearances, more specifically, 98UM and XI.

Specials:
(Double) Reppuken - Melee variant
Shippuken - The (sorta) two-handed, dispersing variant
Jaeiken - Now done with Punch buttons
Atemi Nage - Now done with Kick buttons
Hishou Nichirin Zan
Shinkuu Nage

Level 1/2 Supers:
Raising Storm - 98UM look, does 1 hit compared to Normal mode's multiple
Rashoumon - Done with HCBx2,p

Level 3s:
Deadly Rave
Raging Dead End - FFWA variant

Modern:

Based off KOF XIV/XV appearances.

Specials:
(Double) Reppuken
Shippuken
Atemi Nage - Also done with Kick buttons
Raimei Gouha Nage
Hishou Nichirin Zan
Fudou Ken

Level 1/2 Supers:
Raigou Reppuken
Oni Hanmon

Level 3s:
Raising Storm - XIV variant
Rashoumon

Nightmare:

Token Boss mode. Based on his RBFFS and 2K2UM Nightmare movesets.

Specials:
(Double) Reppuken - The tall, curvy variants. Faster than the Normal ones
(Double) Shippuken - Can be done twice in one usage
Jaeiken - Heavy variant has a grab when it hits
Atemi Nage
Raimei Gouha Nage
Ura Kumogakushi

Level 1/2 Supers:
Raising Storm - Claw variant, MAX is Thunder Break (RBS variant, but multihit)
Rashoumon
Deadly Rave - 98UM version

Level 3s:
Raising Combination - His FF3 HDM and an SDM in 2K2UM
Raging Dead End - 2K2UM Kyokuu Reppuzan version

You're probably weirded out by EX Geese not getting Raimei Gouha Nage. I did so because I didn't want that mode to be winning too hard over Normal in the move department.
I should've given EX Geese the 98' DR, but I thought it would make more sense for Nightmare mode, assuming he's at his full potential and doesn't need as much power to use it.

I'm posting this here for motivation and to see if any lads are willing to expand or join in on this. If you are willing by chance, then ;).
WIP Schedule:
Most likely my next full-game

  • I swear I've been working on Geese all this time.
  • Kind of POTS style editor, except not really.
Seems pretty good so far.

I think for EX's level 2, you could go with how Kyoku Reppu Zan worked in FFWA, with 4 short ranged small Reppuken projectiles before doing a big Reppuken with both hands that goes full screen and knocks down (that's also how Don Drago's Wild Mode Geese does it).

Also, would level 3 Thunder Break be the 2K2 UM variant, with the Max version for Nightmare being how it is in POTS/Real Bout?

Updated with a couple more notes and a change to EX Geese's Supers.
I decided to go with PotS' KRZ take since I thought it would work well as a LVL1/2 while OH was moves to LVL2 only temporarily.
KRZ having projectiles wouldn't make much sense since EX has the melee Reppukens.

Decided to take the risk and giving him a 4th mode (Modern, mostly inspired by me doing one for DeathScythe's Akuma), and revised the other modes, staying closer to their respective games' movesets.

Look pretty good. Although one thing about Raimei Gouha Nage I think you could do for EX mode if you'd like is make it a normal command move, as opposed to a special with an EX variant for Normal/Modern. 2002 UM Robert does that with his dive kick being a special for normal Robert & a command normal for EX Robert.

I guess, but I just didn't feel like giving it to all his modes and I simply wanted a more notable playstyle change for EX.

Ah, that sounds fair, I was just thinking about it.
Is Geese your current/most recent POTS edit WIP, or are you working on something else right now?

Normal and EX Geese will be with his shirt and Modern/Nightmare will be shirtless? So like two separate files?
