Back from the dead. Been updating my old stuff(changing anim times, tweaking hitdefs and clsns, etc) as well as working on my newer wips. A lot has been done and finished already, but I'm gonna release everything in bulk like I usually do. Here's some screens.











As you can tell by the screens, I redid Axel and Haggar(and the rest of the Slammasters) SFFs. They look a lot better in my opinion. With Axel, I just took the original sprites, doubled them and scaled them in the cns because 1.0 handles scaling better than winmugen(still doesn't look too bad in winmugen). With the Slammasters, I resized them with a more efficient method so they won't lose detail and retain their original color count, plus separation in some.

I've finished Ruby Heart's SFF and I'm starting on the color separation of her. Everything else is also separated(phantom, schwarzelle fx, crew, etc). Here's an example:

All look and sound great but, I'm really looking forward to your Ruby heart. Good luck with all those awesome wip concepts and as I do. I will be watching this thread very much. Keep up the hard work. :sugoi:

I'm always looking forward to your characters and this color sep'd Ruby Heart is no exception.

In fact...I recently ripped something last week now that I've been correctly emulating MvC2 on my setup.
It may even make a very nice victory portrait.

Thanks. Forgot to mention that I also tweaked the damage dampener more. It mainly affects chain combo chars, and I think it's a good balance for my chars.

Also I reworked the guard breaker system. Now it's more like a watered-down focus attack you could say. Changes are:

-All guard breaker attacks have the same animtime(48 ticks)
-Requires 500 power to use
-Level 1 is just hit stun with just pushback.
-Level 2 has larger hit stun with larger pushback
-Fully charged attack will cause crumble anim, leaving opponent for attack
-Fully charged attack has invincibility before hit


-Can absorb/shielded against 1 normal or special attack/projectile (takes away 500 power)

-If shield is gone and you continue to charge and manage to get hit, you'll receive 1.5 times the damage of opponents next attack


-Not protected against super attacks/projectiles or any throws

You can still cancel into a forward/backward roll after lvl 1 charge(20 ticks)

You've done enough by providing the Lee brothers of choice for mugen.

Which reminds me that I can hook you up with a Yang victory port for 1.0 as well in the future when I get to making it. ;)

Thanks. I was praying that the next char girard would color separate would be Ruby Heart since she didn't make it in MvC3, but it was highlt unlikely. Separating her is ASS but the results are worth it.

I also picked Shiva back up. Completely redoing him though. Here's a spin kick I made using sprites from the 2nd boss of D.D. Crew(and from Shiva by Ken):



Remember, I'm not good with these things and any help would be VERY appreciated. What other bruce lee type char could I use as reference for Shiva without too much editing? I already use sprites from:

-Feilong(Snes)
-Bruce Lee(Snes game)
-Andy Bogard(KoF. Actually pretty easy to edit)
-Daolong(Breakers)
-Liu Kang(mainly MKII)

Are considering doing any more Marvel characters in your "Buckus" style? I find them to be more fun than their MvC variants.

Don't know. I create based on free time and inspiration. 

EDIT:

I need voice suggestions for the Batletoads. I have sound rips from the game thanks to bwwd, but what else should I use?

Wasn't there only one episode? I'll see what I can do with it. That beach boy theme song wasn't cutting it though.

@MDD: Don't know. We'll see

And I'm not sure about Kain Blade. I need some edits for him but I'm not really focused on him right now.

Just thinking: Should I make Partonelle (ship super) or Mille Fantome the Level 2 super? I was leaning more towards Partonelle.

I may leave the crew out of the palette. After reviewing her palettes in MvC2, it seems almost everything is separated in her. Adding the crew to the palette (all of them having at least 14 separate colors each except the wizard) is taking up a lot of space on top of fx. I may just share similar color if I keep the crew in the palette(Ex: the anchor and the borders of the treasure chest being shared. Not like this in the game though).

That sounds fine, actually. Saves the time of making unique colors for the crew.
